Maswik Lodge is a modern facility spread over several acres of ponderosa pine forest. This motel style lodge is ideally located in the southwest area of the Grand Canyon Village, just a short walk to the canyon. Over one million dollars were recently spent to completely remodel the Maswik North rooms that are offered by us. These rooms are larger, two queen size beds,and feature ceiling fans. The Maswik Lodge has a cafeteria and sports bar. The lodge does not offer a sit down style restaurant or air conditioning. (Effective March 1, 2003 all rooms at the canyon will be non smoking.) Accommodation Moderate Queen Non-Smoking - Number of beds : 2 Located in Maswik North, this non-smoking room features two queen size beds,full bath/shower, television and telephone. Vaulted ceilings(on the 2nd floor), and either a porch or balcony, ceiling fans. Roll-aways are permitted. Will sleep 5 people. Centrally located in Grand Canyon Village, approximately 1/4 mi. from rim. No air conditioning. No pets and no cooking allowed in the room. Standard Smoking - Number of beds : 2 This smoking permitted standard room is located in a modern two story facility. This lodge is an ideal choice for families. Each room has two queen beds, full bath/shower, television and telephone, oscillating fans. The room will sleep 4 people comfortably, tight for 5 with rollaway. No air conditioning. No pets and no cooking allowed in the room Renovated 2001. Standard Non-Smoking - Number of beds : 2 Located in Maswik South, 1/4 mile from the rim of the canyon. This non-smoking standard room is located in a modern two story facility. This lodge is an ideal choice for families. Each room has two queen beds full bath/shower, television and telephone, oscillating fans. The room will sleep. The room will sleep 4 people comfortably, tight for 5 with rollaway. No air conditioning. No pets or cooking allowed. Renovated 2001. Moderate Queen Smoking - Number of beds : 2 Moderate smoking permitted room in a 2 story facility situated in the pines. Each room features two queen size beds,full bath/shower, television and telephone, vaulted ceilings(on the 2nd floor),ceiling fan and a porch or balcony. This lodge is an ideal choice for families. This room will sleep 4 people comfortably. Roll-aways maybe requested to accommodate a 5th person, however, they are not guaranteed. No air conditioning. No pets. (NPS entrance fees apply) approx. 1 hour, 40 min. / 89 miles From Phoenix, Arizona: Drive north on Interstate 17 to Flagstaff. From downtown Flagstaff turn north on US Highway 180. Continue to the junction of AZ Highway 64. Turn right (north) and proceed to the south entrance of Grand Canyon National Park. (NPS entrance fees apply) approx. 4 hours / 247 miles Note: US Hwy 180 is not recommended during inclement weather. Alternate route: from Flagstaff take Interstate 40 West to Williams. Turn left (east) on Interstate 40 to Williams. From Bryce Canyon Lodge: Go south on Highway 89 to Mt. Carmel junction. Continue south on 89 to Highway 64 junction. Take 64 west to the south entrance of Grand Canyon National Park.
